High stakes poker
High Stakes Poker Season 6 begins on February 14th, 2010 they have added PokerStars as a title sponsor which presumably would mean that the videos will be made available online. Expect a little different format with Gabe Kaplan announcing alone and Kara Scott doing player interviews while play is happening. Sadly there will be no A.J. Benza this year. Gabe Kaplan will return to host his sixth season of the show as an analyst. Joining him for hosting duties during season 6 will be new addition Kara Scott. She was the former host at European Poker Tour events and this will be her first season with the show. Scott has cashed in the World Series of Poker main event in each of the last two years, and she recently finished in second place at the Irish Open in Dublin.
Season six will once again feature the top professional poker players in the world in a cash-game format and the minimum buy-in will be $200,000. Blinds will be $300-$600 with a $100 ante during the game. Season six of the show took place at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas.
